Tonight I attended a career panel about jobs at bay area tech companies. The panel was refreshing in that it was not focused on engineering, but instead on other disciplines within bay area tech companies, like marketing, public policy, human resources and more. Listening to the panel and talking to people at the event who work at companies of various sizes in an assortment of job roles gave me a deeper understanding of how the tech puzzle fits together at various companies.
