Notably, the speakers at this conference were very frank and open. As a result, most of what they said remained “in the room.” So, I am only sharing a few key points.
The first speaker was Ben Horowitz from Andreessen Horowitz. (I read his book, The Hard This About Hard Things, shortly after it was realized, mostly on a flight from Miami to San Diego….) I have admired him ever since. One statement really inspired me: a leader must not only tell the truth but also explain what it means.
Overall, we were encouraged to think about next steps in our careers, mentorship, and more. Overall, it was an amazing day!
