Sessions and Cookies
The afternoon lecture was about sessions and cookies. He did not talk much about the way marketers “exploit” the cookie functionality, as this was beyond the scope of the lecture. Given my experience in marketing, I was curious and had hoped we could learn more about it.
One of my potential career paths is doing software development at a marketing agency, which would leverage my background and education in marketing along with my (soon to be) newly acquired software coding skills. I might change my lightning talk to discuss this, since it would actually be both interesting to me and something that could potentially help me with a job in the future. More likely, I’ll just have to add it to the list of things to read up on when Hackbright finishes.
This afternoon I paired with someone on a lab related to cookies and sessions. It went well. We will continue working on the lab tomorrow morning. I am hopeful that both of us will have had more sleep by then … but we’ll see.
