Tonight I attended the Earthtones event at Slack. I use Slack every day, so I was curious to meet the people behind the app that is so integral to my life these days. The event did not disappoint!
The speakers were engaging and insightful. First, there was a recruiter from Slack who shared how best to work with recruiters. Several additional talks followed. My favorite speaker, who divulged the most useful tips, was Jules Walter. He also had one of the funniest slides in his PowerPoint deck that I have ever seen! The evening ended with a panel that included Erica Joy, Ellen Pao, and Y-Vonne Hutchinson; all of whom were very honest, hopeful, and helpful.
